May 2006 Wine Chateaux of Bordeaux ...cont.
This has become one of our favorites. Home of Chateau LeCrock.
Who says the French have no sense of humor.
Jean Noel got us a case of 2003 and it was wonderful.

The Manager at Phelan Segur seems to like us.
Maybe it's all the wine.

No Bordeaux trip is complete without visiting Chateau Mouton Rothshild.
This is the Echantillon (Sample) 2005
Then there was the 1996 Mouton Rothshild we tasted. Didn't spit that one!

So here is Rob, making off with a couple of bottles. These were actually a couple that we tasted.
Even the art here is special.
Everything was so amazing. To be here tasting the new release and a ten-year-old bottle! Just pinch me.

The Chateau Pichon Longueville was particularly special becuase the Madame came out to talk with us.
She was in the midst of negotiation to sell the chateau and still made time to visit with us. She is a relative of Jean Noel and treated us like special friends.

Here is the House. I could live here.
Me and two dozen cleaning ladies.

Here we are pretending the own the place.
Now my eating habits are getting obvious.

Chateau Leoville Poyferre is just down the road from Pichon Longeville.
Another relative of Jean Noel's.
Who IS this guy?
Didier and Jean Noel.
Okay, yes, we DID drink some of these.
Really...we spit out more than we swallowed...really.
We would have been at the morgue if we had not.
